We train budding taste buds.
At Red Rabbit, we believe that good nutrition is essential to a child's academic growth, physical health and behavior. That's why we work hard every day to introduce made-from-scratch, farm-fresh foods to kids—and peace of mind to schools and parents.
Our farm fresh and organic food is developed and reviewed by Red Rabbit chefs, nutritionist and pediatricians. We are pleased to provide our schools and children with locally-sourced fruits, vegetables and dairy products, prepared daily—from scratch. Our meals not only taste great while exceeding USDA nutrition guidelines, but have also been "kid-tested." If kids won't eat it, what's the point? This summarizes our approach to nutrition, meal preparation and ingredients:

• Meals with the ideal balance of protein, dairy, grains, fruits and vegetables.
• Fresh fruits and vegetables packed with vitamins and minerals.
• Skinless, Grade A white meat poultry and lean cuts of choice red meats
• Healthy oils: olive, canola
• Baked, grilled and roasted foods.
• 100-percent all-natural fruit juices or low-fat 1% milk.
• Healthy after-school snacks—delicious home-made treats for morning or afternoon energy.
|
|
 |
• Unbalanced meals, high in simple carbohydrates, like sugar or white flour
• The same vegetables over and over —we get kids to experiment
• Saturated fats and hydrogenated oils or trans fats (found in a wide range of processed foods like margarine and Crisco)
• Fried foods
• Processed foods
• High-fructose corn syrup
• Foods that cause common allergic reactions, like nuts and shellfish
