Meals, Nutrition, Allergies

What type of meals does Red Rabbit serve?

Red Rabbit serves balanced meals developed with children in mind. Each meal includes a hot entree, a vegetable side dish, fresh fruit and a drink. Visit our meals page for more information. We prepare every meal from scratch in our kitchen using healthy whole grains, lean meats and farm-fresh fruits and vegetables. Our meals never include high-fructose corn syrup, bad processed or fried foods.

Will my child like the food?

We've developed a menu that appeals to even the pickiest eater. Our Sample Menu will give you an idea of the fun, delicious meals we serve.

What comes with each meal?

Our standard lunch includes a main course, a vegetable side dish, fresh fruit and 100% juice or or low-fat 1% milk. We also provide healthy breakfasts and afternoon snacks. Contact your school administrator for specific information regarding your school's program.

Is Red Rabbit food healthy?

Yes. Our meals are all natural and balanced specifically for a child's needs. We use farm-fresh fruits and vegetables and never serve fried food, bad processed food or foods made with high-fructose corn syrup. See our nutrition policy for more information.

Are your meals organic?

Our focus is more on farm-fresh natural foods than on organic. Our meals feature seasonal fruits and vegetables from local farmers markets and always include as many organic options as possible. We plan to use more and more of these items as prices come down.

Is your milk organic?

No. Organic milk is often ultra-pasteurized - a process which strips it of essential nutrients. Our milk, supplied by Farmland Dairies, has no added antibiotics or hormones.

Do you serve hot meals?

Yes! The vast majority of our meals are hot. Take a look at our sample menu.

Do you offer variety in your lunch program?

Our menus include a wide variety of tastes and textures. From juicy turkey burgers to roasted Asian tilapia, our menus are full of delicious ingredients and flavors that will please and expand your child's palate.

What if my child is allergic to a particular food?

Let us know what about your child's allergies during sign up or anytime afterward. We'll create meal options that don't include those foods. Learn more about allergies.

Payment and Billing

How do I pay for Red Rabbit?

You can sign up for the Red Rabbit program by visiting our online store, completing the easy sign-up form and paying monthly with a credit card.

Do I have to sign up online after each period?

No. Each month, we'll renew your program automatically and charge your credit card. To suspend or cancel your program, please contact Customer Care.

How is the monthly price calculated?

The monthly price is based on the total number of days in the school year (accounting for all school holidays and closings) instead of the number of days in the month. This way, we can charge you the same amount on the same day each month.

What happens when school is closed?

We've factored all school closings and holidays into the monthly invoice amount. This enables us to bill you the same amount each month.

What if my child misses a meal due to vacation or illness?

Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance, and we'll credit your account for the days missed.

Can I cancel before the month is up?

Yes. You can cancel at anytime and receive a refund for the unused portion of your payment. To cancel, please contact Customer Care.
