Red Rabbit Food Labs create positive, hands-on, peer-influenced learning environments that empower kids to try new, healthy foods. We make it easy for schools to introduce cooking and gardening programs into their day by providing in-class and afterschool enrichment programs on-site. Our team handles all of the logistics and supplies all of the equipment, making it easy for teachers and school administrators, and of course, fun for kids!
Start a Food Lab Program in Your School
Our Cooking Labs are an exploration of the senses for kids to learn about and create yummy and nutritious dishes with a focus around fruits, vegetables and other whole foods. When students prepare recipes themselves, they are more likely to try new foods, which is most often the case in Red Rabbit’s cooking labs! Red Rabbit can bring cooking labs into any school environment, with or without a kitchen.
Bite Size Labs
Red Rabbit Education can fit into even the busiest school’s schedule by dropping into your classrooms for 30-minute, fun-filled lessons surrounding healthy foods and how they grow. Red Rabbit Bite-Size Labs are a great way to reach many students in one day for a fun activity and snack surrounding a healthy whole food. Whether a strawberry or a jicama, a barley grain or a tofu cube, students will have a blast getting up close and personal with these foods and will gain a better understanding of where they come from.
Red Rabbit Gardening Labs provide a foundational knowledge of how food grows and give students hands-on experiences growing their own fruits and vegetables. Lessons help students connect their food to the environment, promoting diverse diets rich with whole foods that come from the earth. Red Rabbit can bring gardening labs into any school environment, with or without an outdoor space. We also can help you build your very own school garden (pricing varies; contact us for more details
